Case Eden

2008

In the Eden Case series (2008) I attempted to capture the dichotomy between the idea and reality. The word ‚case’ refers to medical terminology referring to a medical case. It is a kind of ailment that we all fall into - an unidentified longing - its various types and states. According to the Bible, Eden was a garden that God had set out on earth because of its wonderful conditions, which although perfect and shaped by God’s hand, existed in the real world. The Eden Case is a parable of the feeling of loss, told by diptychs, made up of photographs of the real world around us.
The series was presented at: Towards Sacrum - Dom Praczki, Kielce (2008), Sensitive Focus Wilson Shaft, Katowice (2009), Fabryka Trzciny, Warsaw (2008), Klima Bocheńska Gallery, Warsaw (2010) and also in the Szwalnia Theatre, Lodz (2018)
